    Spirulina is a multicellular alga, cylindrical spiral filamentous, growing in all kinds of fresh water and sea water, often plankton growth in the sea water in the middle and low tide zone or attached to other algae and attachments to form a green coating.  
 

    Spirulina is high in protein, low in fat and fiber, and contains a variety of vitamins.
